Sitting here waiting on my grandbaby to get here! Her mom's getting a new baby sitter and I am keeping her today until she gets one. It will be a blast! Speaking of grandbabies....Are they all not just a blast of joy! Watching each of their little personalities grow! Actually seeing them grow up so fast right in front of your face! I can remember when each and every one of them were born. It was and still is awesome.

Born a baby,

Now a young lady.

Where has all

the time gone.

You were just a tike,

a little while back.

And now you are

over six feet tall.

And just next year,

you will be there,

In Highschool as

a freshman.

Next thing I know

you will be gone.

children of your own.

As of today, 2-12-2012

As you can well tell, I have not been blogging here lately. I have been pretty busy working and taking care of things at home. However, I did weigh Friday, and I weighed 287.4. Not many pounds, but it's a start!

We went and picked up my daughter yesterday at the airport. She had been in Seatle Washington, seeing a friend. Well, her now boyfriend! He seems to be a good person. As long as he is good to Becca, I am ok with it.

Also, I kept my Peanut last night. She spent the night with us. We plaid with my Iphone for a bit, and had to turn the light off, so she would go to sleep. Boy, is she a cuddlebugg! I really enjoy keeping her, as well as my other grandbabies.

Right now, I am being lazy, enjoying the quietness of the house. I need to get up and do something, but had somehow gotten into the Stephanie Nielson story on utube. It is an amazing story. And what an amazing woman and family. That woman has survived and "thrived" through a whole lot. Surviving the crash and then thriving through every day life!

God is definitely with her!

Dear Lord,

Be with us as we continue to live through you. Help us to be good christians and help those who don't understand, to learn about you! Help Stephanie Nielson and her family to continue "thriving" through this life. Help her to continue encouraging other people through her story!

Lord, Help me, even though I have not been through what Stephanie has been through, to continue to learn and understand your word! For someday, I want to be with you in heaven!

Getting my Life Back in Control

I am starting this blog, because I am going to make myself responsible for all of my actions, such as my eating habits! I WANT TO GET THIS WEIGHT OFF! I WANT TO GET HEALTHY! Not just for me, but for my family! So, here goes!

I weigh over 300 pounds, not exactly sure, but I will weigh in the morning and tell you for sure!

I want to get down to at least 200, if not less. I am going to document every day, my food intake, my exercise, whether I do it or not, and any other information that may help me to lose weight!

My Two Grandbabies

Little ones grow up so fast!!!!!!!!!
It is hard to believe Gracie is already a year old. She has been a year old since October 26th.
She has been walking for about a month now. She is so cute with her little bowlegged self. And when she takes off, boy, does she get going!
And Abbie... She is 10 months old. She is trying to walk. She will take a few steps and fall down. However, she gets right back up and starts again.
This year will be Gracie's 2nd Christmas and Abbie's 1st. I hope to make it a really good Christmas for both those little girls. Because let me tell you, they are the apples of this Tikki's eyes.
Their momma's have trouble getting them to sleep. All I have to do, is get them a bottle and their blankets. Start singing to them and they lay their heads on my shoulder and go to sleep. Both Brandi and Jess say that I put a spell on them. lol I know it is just that they are really comfortable with their "Tikki", and they both know that she loves them VERY, VERY much!!!
Isn't that what we Grandmothers are for?............If it wasn't, it is now!!! LOL
